Your Child’s First Visit
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a “Dental Home” for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
Our goal is to create a positive relationship with your child. The fist visit is primarily focused on prevention through parent and child education. The following is a sample of some of the information you will receive for your child:
– How to properly clean your child’s teeth
– What are healthy food and drink choices
– How to prevent tooth decay
– Protecting your infant/child’s teeth with fluoride
